Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary During the Downtown Turlock Independence Celebration

Turlock, CA | June 30, 2026 - The City of Turlock invites residents and visitors to celebrate America's 250th Anniversary during the Downtown Turlock Independence Celebration on July 3 and 4, featuring two days of patriotic festivities, family-friendly entertainment, and community celebration.

As the nation marks 250 years of American independence, Turlock will bring neighbors, families, and visitors together for a weekend celebrating patriotism, service, and the traditions that continue to unite the community.

Festivities begin Friday, July 3, with the annual Independence Day Parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Turlock. The celebration continues immediately afterward at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds with a community festival, live music by Makin' Noise Band at 7:30 p.m., and a fireworks spectacular at dusk.

On Saturday, July 4, Downtown Turlock will host the annual Classic Car Show and Vendor Market from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by car show awards at 12:30 p.m.

This year's parade will feature longtime community leader Harry Boucher as Grand Marshal. A respected business owner, volunteer, and advocate for Downtown Turlock, Boucher's decades of service reflect the spirit of service and community that the Independence Day celebration seeks to honor.

Demonstrating a shared commitment to community and civic engagement, all five members of the Turlock City Council will participate in this year's parade. Mayor Amy Bublak, Vice Mayor Rebecka Monez, Councilmember Kevin Bixel, Councilmember Cassandra Abram, and Councilmember Erika Phillips will walk together through Downtown Turlock, greeting residents and celebrating alongside the community.

"Our Independence Celebration is one of those traditions that brings the whole community together," said Mayor Amy Bublak. "Whether you're watching the parade, enjoying the festival, or gathering with family and friends to watch the fireworks, it's a chance to celebrate not only our nation's history, but also everything that makes Turlock such a special place to call home. Celebrating America's 250th anniversary together makes this year's event even more meaningful."

The Downtown Turlock Independence Celebration is made possible through the partnership and support of the City of Turlock, the Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association, the Turlock Chamber of Commerce, the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, community sponsors, volunteers, and numerous local organizations.

Residents are encouraged to join the celebration and enjoy a weekend honoring America's 250th Anniversary.
