Fatal Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Collision
On March 15, 2021, at approximately 6:53 am, the Turlock Police Department was called to the intersection of W. Monte Vista Ave and Delís Ln for the report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
The first arriving officer found an unresponsive 27 year old male with major injuries laying in the roadway. The officer and an off-duty firefighter immediately began CPR on the male and continued until relieved by Turlock Fire Department and AMR personnel. He was transported to an area hospital. Despite all life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The 41 year old female driver of the involved 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe stayed on scene and was cooperative with investigators.
Neither drugs, alcohol, nor speed appear to be a cause of the collision.
