Printed copies of the plans and specifications may also be purchased by written request to, or in-person at, the Office of the City Engineer. Contact information is shown to the right. Any applicable shipping charges are in addition to the stated cost. Payment for printed plans and specifications are non-refundable; check or cash only.

The California Department of Transportation is offering, through the California Construction Contracting Program (CCCP), free training, counseling, and resources in order to assist small businesses to successfully bid and win Caltrans and Local agency construction contracts.

New Public Works Contractor Registration Law [Senate Bill 854]

Beginning April 1, 2015, prime contractors and subcontractors bidding on public works projects will be required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Prime contractors and subcontractors will be required to submit certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner using DIR's new data-driven electronic Certified Payroll Record (eCPR) reporting system. (DIR expects to have Phase I of this system deployed by early May of 2015. Contractors will be able input CPR data directly onto an online form or do a mass upload using an xml schema flat file).

Storm Drain and Surface Improvements

The work consists, in general of: demolition, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, trenching, storm drain improvements, miscellaneous concrete, roadway improvements, repair of landscape and irrigation improvements and other associated work. The work includes all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and any incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans.

City Utility Trench Repair 2020

Due to settlement of the trench backfill over the existing utility lines, several trenches have failed and need repair. This work shall consist, in general, of: removing and disposing of existing asphalt concrete and unsuitable excavated material; excavating existing trench material; saw cutting and grinding the limits and of the pavement area as shown on Details; compacting the trench with existing and as necessary new material and installing new aggregate base, pavement fabric, and asphalt concrete material.
