ADULT SUMMER LEAGUE SOFTBALL

Come out and enjoy the game of softball at one of the Central Valley's finest softball facilities Pedretti Park. There are different levels of play from top men's/women's to recreation and coed. All leagues are "D" level and below. Our leagues play by ASA rules with some local recreational league amendments, only ASA approved bats may be used excluding all Mikens and Titanium made bats .

Rosters available online or in the Recreation Office only, Rosters will not be mailed

KIDZ LOVE SOCCER

In this 8 week program, Kidz will learn the world’s most popular sport from professional coaches licensed in the Kidz Love Soccer method. The program will include age appropriate activities: Skill demonstrations, fun games, and instructional scrimmages always conducted in a non-competitive format. Kidz Love Soccer: “where the score is always fun to fun.”

Shin guards required by the second class meeting.

FRIDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL

Come help us promote health and wellness in a fun atmosphere. Friday Night Basketball is a free drop in program for all youth ages 12-18. Friday Night basketball meets every Friday night at The Salvation Army, 893 Lander Ave from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. All participants are required to fill out a waiver before participating. STICKS FOR KIDS / 5 TO 12 YEARS

Children ages 5 to 12 years learn the basic of the game of golf. This program is designed for the individual who has never played golf but would like to try. Participants will hit golf balls from a golf mat into a net. Golf clubs will be available at the site for use. Space is limited to 20 participants.

BATON TWIRLING

Join us & learn the fundamentals of beginning baton twirling. Baton twirling is a fun, social activity that builds self-confidence, responsibility, quick thinking, team work & coordination. Learn basic to advanced twirls. This class will pave the way to march in the Disneyland Main Street Parade. More information will be given at class. Don’t wait to register, space is limited.

This class helps children learn the basics of cheerleading and tumbling including motions, jumps, dance, kicks, bridges, rolls and more in a fun and enthusiastic environment. Students learn at their own pace while developing coordination and basic skills.

City league volleyball is a great way to get some exercise, meet new people and see your friends. This is nine weeks of volleyball, plus playoffs. League play is Monday night with Recreational, Competitive 6 and Power or Thursday night with No-Spiking, Recreational and Competitive 6.

MARATHON MILE Kids & Families Fun Run

The Kids & Families Marathon is an incremental running program that has been designed to encourage kids and their families to exercise and begin a healthy lifestyle that will continue for years to come. Participating children grades K – 6, Teens and Adults will run a total of 26.2 miles (a full marathon distance) over a four-month period. Participants will be motivated to build endurance, increase self-confidence and learn to reach goals.

Participants will complete their final 1 mile during the Family Play Day on Saturday, April 24th at Donnelly Park Area M. Upon completing the marathon participants will receive a Marathon Finisher’s Medal and T-shirt, along with food and beverages.

A one mile run for kids is all about having fun! Kids 3 – 14 years can run, walk or jog the one-mile course. Everyone is a winner and each child that pre-registers gets an official race number, T-shirt and goodie bag.
(Kids can also complete a 25.2 mile training program by signing up for the Marathon Mile

YOGA FOR ADULTS

YOGA computer
This is a beginning yoga class where students will develop strength, flexibility and endurance through the practice of different yoga postures (asanas). The asanas will be done gently and held for a few breaths. Proper breathing techniques will be taught for each asana allowing the student to find the connection between their mind and body.
- Students are encouraged to bring a towel or Yoga Mat to work out on.

Join Turlock Recreation and the Turlock High Track team for a Youth Track Meet.
(Being held at the Dutcher Middle School Track)
Youth 7 – 14 can participate in Track and Field events. No experience is necessary.
Pick up registration forms beginning April 1st at the Recreation Office, on-line at cityofturlock.org or sign up at the event.

TINY TOTS FANTASY BASEBALL CAMP 3 - 5 YEARS

For boys and girls ages 3 – 5 to learn the basics of baseball while playing alongside their parent. Participants will learn fun techniques of throwing, catching, hitting and knowledge of the bases. Parents are required to participate with their child. Includes matching T-shirt for child and parent.

TOTS INDOOR SOCCER 3 - 5 YEARS

Sign up your 3 - 5 year old to play Soccer indoors. All participants will be placed onto a team and coached by a volunteer parent. This is a recreational program designed to encourage children to play for fun and learn the basic skills needed to play in the future. Space is limited to the first 40 registrations.

T-BALL/PEE WEE BASEBALL 5 - 8 YEARS

Boys and girls ages 5 - 8 can experience their first baseball program. This 6 game league introduces youth to the game of baseball in a non-competitive atmosphere. No score is kept, all players are winners! All coaches are volunteers, so if you would like to coach a team please call the Recreation Office. All players will receive a t-shirt and replica major league hat. TEAM PICTURES NOT INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION FEES.

T-Ball (hit off batting tee) must be 5 - 6 yrs as of May 1, 2010.

PeeWee (coach pitch) must be 7 - 8 yrs as of May 1, 2010.

Sorry, no exceptions on age can be made.

TRACK CLASS 7 - 14 YEARS

Youth ages 7 -14 years can develop their track and field abilities. High School coaches will work on speed and agility training techniques, conditioning and endurance. This program will introduce the participants to all areas of track and field and prepare them for the Turlock Youth Track Meet.

GIRLS SOFTBALL

The league will consist of 12 games played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Saturdays. Teams will not play more than two games per week. Game days are random each week. These leagues are Non-Competitive, and are designed to develop and enhance skills. (This league is not associated with Travel Softball). Anyone interested in coaching please let us know so we can sign you up for a coaches clinic. PICTURES NOT PROVIDED WITH REGISTRATION FEES.

RUN/WALK STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CLASS

Have you been thinking about running /walking a 10-K, ½ Marathon or Marathon? Here is your chance to work with trainers from Runners’ Feet and prepare for an upcoming event. This class will work with core training, agility training techniques, conditioning and endurance. This training program will give each person an opportunity to condition themselves for fitness.
