Special Announcements
Check out this Transit Services Website!
In it we’ve tried to present all the information you’ll need to plan an enjoyable ride across town if it’s your first trip, or make your next trip on BLAST or DART even easier if you’ve been on the bus before. The site’s format will also make it easier for us to keep it current, especially with this Special Announcements section.
Please feel free to give us your opinion of the new transit webpages, or to ask questions about BLAST or DART services. Use the passenger input form on the “How Can We Improve” page, and if you’d like, we’ll get right back to you.

Transit Tips
BLAST Tip #2.5:
If your round trip on BLAST requires a Transfer, you can get an All-Day Pass for the same cost- and then ride BLAST as many times as you want (and “transfer” anywhere you want) for the rest of that day.
BLAST Tip #123:
Customize your BLAST brochure by circling stops and highlighting your times on the schedule for quick reference while trip planning or figuring out transfers- for both legs of your trip on BLAST. If you need another brochure for another trip, you can always get extras from the bus the next time you ride.
DART Tip #2.2:
To get to your destination on time, please reserve your trip on DART at least 2 hours before you’ll need the ride. And if at all possible, reserve your return trip during the same phone call. And don’t forget to reschedule or cancel if your plans change.
BLAST Tip #4 (or 5):
Pick up extra brochures and keep them all over the place: one at work or school, one in your briefcase or backpack, and a couple extras at home. Then you can mark one up for a specific trip and still have clean copies for later.
BLAST Tip #45:
A Monthly BLAST Pass is much more convenient than single trip fares and with a BLAST Pass, you can get on any BLAST route at any stop, as many times as you want that whole day.
A Monthly Pass can also save you some money if you ride more than 18 round trips per month (15 per month if your trip needs a transfer). Every ride after that during the month will be FREE, so the more you ride the more you save. The same is true for the half-priced, “after the 15th“ pass if you take more than 9 round trips before the end of the month. (See Frequently Asked Questions for more on Monthly Passes).
BLAST Tip #86:
Please be ready at your BLAST bus stop at least 5 minutes before the bus’s estimated or scheduled departure time to avoid missing your bus. The times shown on the timetables are approximate due to the unpredictable nature of traffic, weather, and roadway conditions. As part of our ongoing effort to stay on the posted schedules, our BLAST buses and dispatch offices are equipped with atomic clocks that synchronize themselves daily by a radio signal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Please do your part to help minimize potential issues with bus schedules by checking and resetting your watch periodically.
